Minuteman GeekOut is the technology support office for students and staff at Minuteman High School.

Minuteman offers a stable and reliable information technology environment for teaching and learning where all students and staff have the resources and skills to utilize a full range of technologies.

One-to-One Laptop Program

Minuteman High School's one-to-one laptop program benefits all students. Students are assigned an individual computer  to be used throughout their educational years at Minuteman. The focus of the one-to-one program is the use of the device in teaching and learning to support a 21st-century learning experience, and empowering our students to be more active participants in their learning.

The one-to-one program extends the learning throughout their entire educational experience at Minuteman. This program will allow opportunities for the creation of personalized and blended learning environments, enhance the creation of ePortfolios, Senior Projects, and digitize the Executive Function program. Increased responsibility for students through this tool will allow them to improve time management, increase organizational skills and advance information retrieval. In both academic courses and career majors, students will use and access electronic resources to engage in and enhance their learning experience through collaboration, curation, communication, and creativity. Minuteman is an Office365 school which embraces the cloud-based use of software and data storage. This program will prepare our students for both college and career.

Aspen

Aspen is a secure Student Information Management System created by X2 Development Corporation, a subsidiary of Follett Software Company. The Minuteman Regional School District uses Aspen to manage student information including demographics, grading, scheduling, attendance, assessment, and other data. Students and parents can log into Aspen to view grades, attendance, assignments, and more.

Office 365

Minuteman provides Microsoft Office 365 to students and staff, including email, calendars, OneDrive, OneNote, and other cloud-based tools. Files can be accessed and worked on from anywhere with internet access. Office 365 also supports real-time collaboration on documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. Students and staff may install Microsoft Office on up to five personal devices.

ParentSquare

ParentSquare is Minuteman’s main communication app for families and students. Use it to receive school announcements, messages, alerts, event information, and important updates. You can also use ParentSquare to communicate with teachers and staff, sign up for events, and manage your notification preferences—all in one place.

Affordable Internet @ Home

We at Minuteman are committed to helping your family have internet resources available to you that your student needs.

  • Xfinity Internet Essentials

    Internet Essentials from Xfinity brings affordable, high-speed internet to your home so you can have greater access to homework, job opportunities, healthcare and benefits, education resources, and more. You may qualify if you are eligible for public assistance programs like the National School Lunch Program, Housing Assistance, Medicaid, SNAP, SSI, and others.

  • Verizon Forward

    Verizon Forward provides reduced cost internet to eligible new or existing customers. Qualifying customers receive a service discount on their Fios, 5G Home or LTE Home Internet plan price. If you participate in certain Federal Assistance programs such as SNAP, you may qualify for the Verizon Forward discount via Lifeline eligibility.
